It’s important to note that stump grinding is a non-invasive form of stump removal. Instead of digging or extracting a stump 10 ft or more from the ground, our company grinds stumps into the ground, ensuring that nothing re-sprouts or grows around its perimeter.

A stump grinder is a large machine that is specifically designed to chew away at wood that is left after a tree has been cut down. These powerful machines use powerful, rotating blades that shred the left over wood into small pieces. When you contract one of our stump grinding professionals they guide the machine over your stump(s) as it reduced the wood into chips. At this point, the stump will have been obliterated well below ground level.

Stumps threaten the physical well-being of you and those around you because anyone is subject to to tripping, falling (or worse) over your stump(s). They also make great homes for unwanted insects such as termites, ants, wood bees and other unpleasant critters which put your yard and home at risk. Stump grinding removes these threats.

Aside from the fact that stump grinding protects your physical well-being, stumps are eye sores! Having your stump ground can improve the aesthetic of your home and business and it can enhance your overall property value!

Once the stump(s) has been ground to your liking, the only thing that will remain is a pile of wood chips from the stump that once was. Rather than discarding the grindings, we recommend that you use them as mulch for your garden or yard. The wood chips also act as an insulant for your soil which retains moisture and suppresses weed growth.

Stump grinding has the potential to achieve the same results as stump removal, except it is accomplished without costing you extra or causing unnecessary damage to your property. It is also much more efficient to stump grind as opposed to removing your stump completely!

Leaving a stump in your yard, or on your property is a tripping hazard for you and others. You might also be surprised to hear that problematic pests can threaten elements of your home.
In addition, stumps are huge eyesores (especially when they start to rot). They can be covered up by abstract garden designs but what can’t be covered up are the dangers of keeping a stump around your property.
